Schools across the Northwest are invited to attend a celebratory festival, hosted by the region's Bridge organisation: Curious Minds, on 20th March from 10:00-16:00.
This event recognises the achievements made by schools committed to the delivery of high quality arts and culture to children and young people.
The day will be an occasion for celebration and will feature:
- Creative Education workshops (including funding for arts programmes, measuring impact and developing cultural partnerships)
- A market place with a broad range of arts and cultural organisations who will be on hand to discuss your school’s arts and cultural needs and how they can support you
- Opportunities to network, make new connections and form relationships.
- Case Studies from schools with firsthand experience of the Artsmark journey
Refreshments and lunch will be served on the day.
The festival will be taking place in Manchester's Whitworth Art Gallery, with guests having the opportunity to explore all that this wonderful cultural venue has to offer.
At the festival, you’ll also have the opportunity to find out more about the Local Cultural Education Partnerships and receive your own FREE Cultural Education Challenge plaque for you to display in your school. This will help you recognise and celebrate meaningful partnerships with arts and cultural organisations, as well as acknowledging schools’ involvement in schemes such as Artsmark, Arts Award, and SLiCE®.
Stickers for different experiences and opportunities can be added to the challenge plaque as each school develops their cultural offer, which includes stickers for schools who are on the Artsmark journey and who have submitted their Statement of Commitment.
