Who we are
The Lowry offers a range of workshops and resources available for schools ranging from the Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stages 1-4 and FE/ HE. We have a broad range of creative workshops that explore the LS Lowry Collection and local history as well as the content in our ever changing Special Exhibition spaces & Award-winning Theatres. Through both visual and performing arts these workshops support & link to the Art & Design, Performing Arts, History, English & Drama Curriculum.
What we do
We connect The Lowry and its artistic programme to people and communities through: Targeted Engagement, Talent Development, Employability and Skills, Learning and Participation and Creative Leadership. The content of the annual programme that delivers against these strategic pillars draws its inspiration from The Lowry’s artistic programme and from the wealth of opportunities that exist for people and communities to engage across the breadth of The Lowry.
As part of their 'Who Cares' work, The Lowry has made available a free resource pack for professionals working with young people, including a Young Carers Toolkit and creative schemes of work focusing on young carers.
CPD for Staff
Teachers on the panel receive a number of arts-based CPD opportunities, exhibition tours and tickets to performances free of charge. TAP is suitable for teachers from Foundation Level and Key Stages 1 – 4, FE, HE and education professionals.
These Teachers’ Resources and Worksheet Packs are designed to facilitate your visit to The Lowry or to be used as a resource in the classroom.
